General Business will be conducted in accordance with the following rules taken from the Grande Constitution and By-laws:
1. In the Grande Promenade every Voiture Locale shall be entitled to three (3) delegates and three (3) alternates for the First fifteen (15) members, and one (1) additional delegate and one (1) alternate for each additional fifteen (15) members or major fraction thereof, provided, the delegate registration fee has been paid and that all current indebtedness and per capita tax shall have been received by the Grande Commissaire Intendent prior to such Grande Promenade; provided further, that each Voiture Locale shall have representation only for the paid-up members as reported by the Correspondant National. Any Voiture Locale that has reported membership of less than Charter strength (10 members) will not be entitled to have any delegates.
2. All Grande Chef de Gares Passe, while in good standing in their respective Voiture Locales and the Grande Voiture du Alabama, shall be delegates for life to all Grande Promenade of the Grande Voiture du Alabama with one (1) vote to be exercised only when present in person and duly registered as delegate.
3. The vote of every Voiture Locale shall be equal to the number of registered delegates to which the Voiture Locale is entitled, regardless of the number delegates present as provided in Rule 1.
4. Remember to get a copy of Resolutions for an office or other business that you want to come before the Grande to the Grand Correspondant as soon as possible.
5. Immediately following business in the Grand Cheminot, a Southland Dixie Promenade Meeting will be convened. Representatives of all Voitures and Cabanes need to be present, as a status report on progress will be given, finalization of the Pocket Planner Sales will take place, and an overall assessment will be discussed.
